The overall objective of the research is the identification of flood afflicted roads using remote sensing, topographical and social media data and quantification of its impacts on the traffic.
Following are the specific objectives:
To develop a methodology for identification of flood afflicted roads using information from satellite images, topographical data, and social media posts.
To quantify the impact of flooding on the roads in terms of traffic volume, travel time, and depth of flooding.
