The present invention discloses a system and a method for sensor driven automatic retraction of shade cover. The present invention discloses a cloud based, environment friendly, cost effective, intelligent, weather sensing, automatic, retractable shade that will help users to keep their content/items/things safe under the shade automatically during unfavorable weather and outside the shade automatically during favorable weather. This cloud and sensor based intelligent device uses machine learning methods to predict weather change and/or do weather forecast and deep learning methods to predict type of content/items/things placed under the shade and based on weather and content prediction, predicts the unfavorable weather for the shade/cluster of content-based shades and sends the signal to automatically open/close the shade/clusters of shades accordingly with or without human intervention to protect the content/things/items placed under the shade from unfavorable weather.
