Shivam Patel, a final year graduate student has worked with “Mila: The Quebec AI institute” at the University of Montréal, Canada, during his summer internship in 2019. He was funded by Microsoft Research Canada. He worked on understanding the economics of climate change. The title of his research is “Applying Deep Reinforcement Learning techniques for determining optimal Climate Policy “. Shivam is also a visiting undergraduate researcher at IIT Bombay and is working with researchers at University of Toronto, Statistics department, for a paper in the prestigious NIPS conference.
